Dipankar Mandal batch of 2014 completed B.Tech from CITK in Information Technology Branch. After B.Tech he joined Tezpur University for M.Tech. After completing their master he went on to join the Centre of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Kharagpur as a Ph.D. research scholar.
